If the world's population were fitted as densely as New York City, the entire population of the earth could fit into Texas. Or have a bit of elbow room in Alaska, which is even larger, nearly twice the size.
About 40 buildings on Manhattan, in New York City, are so large they have their own zip code. There are a few in Chicago as well.
